Kožova hora is rather an indistinct forested ridge south of Kladno. The lookout tower has been serving tourists since 1930, but already in the 19th century, this place enjoyed great popularity among the citizens of Kladno. At the beginning of the 1930s, the Czech Tourists' Club had a tourist cottage with a lookout tower built here, on the top of which a glass gallery for tourists was placed. The construction, which was then designed by the architect Jaroslav Beránek, was carried out by the builders Buřil and Procházka. The result was a cottage with a lookout tower 35 meters high, which was ceremoniously opened on May 11, 1930. At that time, the event was not very desirable, but even so, many citizens took part.

In 1948, the entire building was nationalized and used only for recreational purposes.

At present, there is a restaurant and a hotel in the lookout tower building. Access to the lookout tower is via a spiral staircase just behind the main entrance on the right towards the hotel rooms.
