Královecký Špičák

The Broumov Highlands and its forest-covered ridge are made up of several rhyolite mounds, the highest of which reaches an altitude of 880 meters and is called Královecký Špičák, which is part of the Crow Mountains, a small mountain range with a rich division, the remnants of a Paleozoic volcano. Královecké sedlo is located between Rýchor and Vraní hory and reaches an altitude of 554 meters.

Within the other ridges and steep cliffs in the vicinity, Královecký Špičák forms the dominant feature of the landscape. From its top, which can be reached, for example, along the blue marked tourist route from the village of Královec or Bernartice, there is a beautiful view of the Giant Mountains and the town of Žacléř.

The geomorphological unit of the Broumov Highlands is located in the northeastern region of the Czech Republic and covers an area of ​​535 km. The altitude of the highlands is 527 meters and right after Královecký Špičák, the highest peak is Ruprechtický Špičák with an altitude only half a meter lower than at Královecký Špičák.

In the vicinity of Královecký Špičák there is the Adršpašsko-Teplické rocks with a number of bizarre rock formations, which are very popular with tourists. The Broumov walls, where there are a number of gorges, deep gorges, sandstone rocks and rich forests, are definitely worth mentioning and visiting. When visiting this place, you must not forget the walk to Slavěnské mushroom, located in the woods near the village of Slavný. Right at the top of the Ostaš mountain there is a nature reserve of the same name, where you will be captivated by a diverse system of rocks, corridors and caves.
