Solan - Beskydy

At a distance of about 10 km in the direction southeast of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm we find Soláň, a hill reaching a height of 861 m.n.m. and extending in the Hostýnsko-vsetínská hornatina.

Top artists

The Soláň peak is often called the top of the artists. Directly below the very top is the Čerťácká hospoda, where composers, painters, writers and other artists often met. Let's name for example Jan Drda, Jiří Mahena or František Podešva.

The landscape and the area around Soláň have also served several times as a backdrop for the filming of films, such as Advent, The Girl from the Beskydy Mountains or Tomorrow She Will Dance Everywhere.

A small bell tower has been standing right at the top since 2006. There is a magical view of the surroundings from here!

Below the top of Soláně we still find a house built in the second half of the 20th century by Alois Schneiderka. At present, there is an exposition of the Wallachian Studio at the Hofmans, a gallery, a boarding house and a memorial to Karel Hofman, who stayed here for some time.

Ski resort Soláň

Ski lifts are currently operating on the northern slope of Soláně. The Soláň - Vrchol ski area, which belongs to the Solánka mountain hut, is located about a 5-minute drive directly from the hotel and has an impressive view of Lysá hora, Smrk and Radhošť. It is the largest ski area in the Vsetín region.

There are a total of 7 slopes and 4 lifts, and both beginners and experienced skiers can ski here.
