Napajedla - Spytihněv - Babice + back train

In the town itself, it is worth stopping and visiting the local Napajedla Castle with a relatively large castle park and sightseeing tour. To the south of the chateau is the Hřebčina Napajedla complex - famous for breeding thoroughbred horses.

Start the trip by the river on the cycle route No. 47, which will take you from the city to Lake Pahrbek - it is practically a huge blind arm of the Morava River. At its northern edge you will find a port from which it is possible to go on a trip on the river, either north or south. However, you continue along the river bank along the same bike path.

You will soon come across a second blind shoulder, a little smaller than the previous one. South of it is a huge area with several ponds. However, you will already see the village of Spytihněv on the other bank. You can reach it via a bridge by a small hydroelectric power plant. With the help of the cycle route No. 5015, you can take a closer look at the technical monument Baťa's canal. The canal starts already in Otrokovice, but in some places it leads directly through the riverbed.

Baťa's canal is not large in width. A small ship could barely pass him. However, it is exceptional for its length (52 km). So it is a bit reminiscent of canals in the Netherlands, where this type of tourism and transport is very popular.

However, you will also enjoy the canal a bit, as the cycle route No. 47 continues along its left bank. After about a kilometer you will reach the eastern edge of the village Babice. At the local port, turn left and the path will take you to the center of Babice. There, also turn left onto the main road, which will take you outside the city, and after a small asphalt road in the right direction, you will come to the Hustěnovice train station. The more persistent of you can go further along the cycle route and reach Uherské Hradiště, or even further. The whole route is lined with rails, so there should be no problem with transport back.
