With children on a trip to the ZOO Tábor - Větrovy

If you go by car, enter the address Větrovy 10 in the navigation. ZOO Tábor - Větrovy is built in the adjacent part of the city of Tábor, in Větrovy. You will find in it 80 species of different animals, the zoo focuses mainly on African animals. With its optimal size, area and facilities, it is one of the best places for trips of families with children.

Restaurant and guest house

Inside the ZOO you will find, among other things, a restaurant and a guest house. The interior of the restaurant is stylishly furnished, equipped with wooden furniture. Small children will confiscate the cage with the monkeys while dining together. There are also children's high chairs, you can also choose food suitable for children. Parents will certainly appreciate the stylish ceramic dishes with the ZOO motif, on which food and drink are served to them.

The zoo is relatively new, in September 2013 it celebrated its second birthday. However, as young as it is, it is really ingeniously built to suit all visitors, even the smallest ones. There is also a stylish wooden children’s playground, snack stalls and a small souvenir shop.

Hills and plains

The terrain is well navigable even for families with prams. There are built paths from which you have the best views of the individual paddocks. You walk along the plain for a while, again downhill, then uphill, the terrain is really interesting and you will not be bored.

For 80 species of animals

In the ZOO you will see various species of animals. Right at the entrance you will find parrots and macaques, as well as ostriches, zebras and a children's contactless ZOO, which includes goats, sheep, mini-pigs and other animals. As you move on, you will come across lions, cougars, jaguars and meerkats. In other parts you will be enchanted by llamas, camels, but also fallow deer, foxes, owls, peacocks, horses, raccoons, deer, etc. A huge experience is to observe a herd of bison galloping here and there in their defined (but large enough) space. Don't forget to stop at tigers and bears. Wild boars or kangaroos are also popular with children. At the restaurant and guest house you will find the water world.

Horse-drawn carriage

If you do not want to walk the whole zoo on foot, you can also use a horse-drawn carriage. You will get an unconventional view of the whole area.

Adoption

The zoo also offers the possibility of adopting selected animals. All you have to do is make an appointment and adopt the animal that interested you and your children in the ZOO the most.

Events at the ZOO

In addition to classic tours, the zoo offers various annotated feedings (eg for lions, meerkats, bears, etc.), guided tours of beasts and many other events.
