Slavkov Castle is not of Baroque origin
Slavkov Castle stands on the site of the command of the Teutonic Knights from the 13th century. Over time, it became an important castle. It was a palace with a tower and a church, fortifications and a moat. During the reconstruction into a Renaissance chateau, the tower, fortifications and moats disappeared. In the 17th century, a large reconstruction of the chateau into a baroque chateau was started.
