Natural beauties, various castles and chateaux, royal towns, open-air museums and industrial monuments ... there are countless possibilities for a trip in Central Bohemia.
It is here that historically significant castles such as Karlštejn, Kokořín, Kost, the mysterious Houska, Bezděz, Žebrák, Točník, Český Šternberk and Okoř stand. Labem, Mníšek pod Brdy, etc. Kutná Hora with a unique ossuary and the Church of St. Barbory. Steep slopes around the Vltava (Drbákov - Albertovy skály nature reserve, Smetana's lookout, Máj and Solenická podkova) attract to hiking, and you can explore the rolling surroundings of Berounka or Posázaví by bike. Central Bohemia also includes the Bohemian Karst (canyons and limestone formations such as the Koněprusy Caves and the Great America Quarry alias "Český Grand Canyon") and part of the Bohemian Paradise (Příhrazské skály with the Drábské světničky rock castle and the picturesque Plakánek valley).
