Interesting facts Lookout tower Líský u Slaného

The Líský u Slaného iron lookout tower is located on a slight hill above Líský, a village lying about 15 km west of Slaný. The lookout tower is located at an altitude of 410 meters and was officially opened to tourists in 2009.

You can reach the observation deck by climbing 141 steps. At a height of 25 meters above the ground, you will have a view of České Středohoří, Říp and, if the weather is nice, then also Ještěd.

The lookout tower is accessible from several possible routes. One of them is from the village Líský. If you come to it from the village of Pozdeň, drive around the Municipal Office Líský. After him, turn left onto a panel road lined with houses. After about two hundred meters, leave the panel road and turn right uphill onto the road, which is already lined with trees. In about 100 meters you will find yourself in a field, from where the lookout tower is beautifully visible. Then the road is only about 300 meters long. The car is best parked directly in the village Líský.

The opening hours of the lookout tower are from 2 pm to 4 pm, and only on weekends and holidays during May to October. At other times, it is possible to visit the lookout tower only by prior arrangement, which you can arrange on the phone number 602 183 240. On weekdays, however, you will get here at the earliest after 4 pm.

The iron lookout tower was built by the mobile operator T-Mobile above the village of Líský u Slaného, in fields in the Central Bohemian Region. The SBM company from Kladno took over the construction of the lookout tower. It is a standardized transmitter in the form of a narrow high tube, around which a staircase winds spirally to a viewing platform at a height of 25 meters above the ground. There are a total of 141 stairs and because they are not covered and also perforated, people suffering from dizziness should not go to the top of the lookout tower.

The construction of the lookout tower began at the beginning of 2008, and the following tourists were able to visit its prospect the following year.
