Interesting facts Podbrdské museum

We will take you through the history of the city, related to wood processing, foundry, mills and stud farming. A collection of coats of arms made of hornbeam wood and a unique model of the church of St. Vitus (in a ratio of 1:60) made of rye straw will certainly catch your eye.

Part of the exposition of the first floor and the large ground-floor barn document the everyday life of the Podbrdská household. From the cradle to the grave, each household was accompanied by typical products, customs and traditions. The exhibition also includes a gallery of personalities, the famous ones who were born here, such as Václav Hudeček, Miloš Nedbal, Professor Emanuel Vlček… and those who worked here for part of their lives. The top floor is dedicated to the life and work of Jakub Jan Ryba.

Our museum also boasts a collection of historic cars, mostly Aero. We have our own playground where you can come to your little ones or an outdoor classroom. The museum exposition is very varied, you will find interactive play elements and the whole complex is barrier-free.
