Interesting facts Roupov (castle)

It was founded in the 13th century by Držka of Roupov (otherwise also Držek), whose family owned the castle until 1607, when John IV. he owed so much that he was forced to sell it to Jan of Klenová, Janovice and Žinkovy. Later, the seat became the property of Jan Jiří of Hauben; but then it began to decay.

In the 19th century, the once jewel of the exhibition was dismantled into a building stone, only the chimney was spared. Surprisingly, they must have forgotten about him.
