Křížová cesta 21. století

"Each of us carries our own way of the cross. And we cannot do without hope. ”These are the words spoken by the academic sculptor Vladimír Preclík, who in 2004 conceived a plan to build a sculptural gallery of Christ's Suffering in the open air. He called it The Story of Hope and Suffering and placed it between the villages of Žireč and Stanovice near Kuks in East Bohemia. It is a set of statues made of Hořice sandstone and lies on a meadow in a belt one kilometer between the railway tracks and the forest, in which you can see Braun's Bethlehem, also a work not anchored in the walls, but in nature.

Interesting facts Křížová cesta 21. století

The Stations of the Cross, as its middle name suggests, was discovered in 2008. However, the author of the whole idea did not see it. 15 sculptors of three generations took part in it, and each of them contributed to the extraordinary whole with their concept. It would certainly be worth mentioning each sculptural work separately, but it is much better to let yourself be carried away by the beauty of each of them directly.

If we name only some of them, it is certainly worth mentioning the Cathedral of the Prayer by Vladimír Preclík. Hands attached to God say everything. How many of us have ever said a prayer in our minds? Each. It didn't have to be the Father. Every prayer directed to the higher realms is a prayer. And we can only wish for the health of our currently ill child or anything like that. We always want to be heard. Therefore, the Cathedral of the Prayer is perhaps the most telling work of the whole complex. Other works include The Annunciation by Daniel Klos, The Veil by Veronika Stanislav Hanzík and The Miracle of the Ascension by Vojtěch Adamec.

Come and see and understand that the muses of our artists are ubiquitous and give thousands of inspirations for the diverse representation and vision of our world.
