Interesting facts Malá niva
The natural monument Malá Niva can be found on the right bank of the Teplá Vltava at an altitude of between 746 and 760 m. There is a highland peat bog, which reaches an area of 102.2 ha. The area declared a natural monument on September 20, 1985.
The Scots pine grows here, which slowly turns into a shrubby form, and rather typical spruces predominate at the edges of the entire area.
There are many hiking and cycling trails and ski trails through the Šumava National Park, which will take you through Mala Niva as well as other beautiful places in the Šumava. There are also many nature trails, the most famous of which are the Bear Trail, the Chalupská slať nature trail or the Churáňov walking circuit.
