Waterfall Borový

The highest waterfall in the Šumperk district, numbering 14 m, can be found under the romantic rocks of Medvědí hora. You can reach it following the blue tourist sign from Kouty nad Desnou upstream of Divoká Desná. After less than two kilometers, you will come off the marked path, cross the stream over the footbridge and continue up the hill to Borový potok. The journey takes about 30 minutes. As a reward, you will have a wonderful view of the waterfall with smaller cascades, which end after 15 m with a 2 m high waterfall. The spring of Borový potok (also called Medvědí) is located in the saddle between Dlouhý Strána and Mravenečník, at an altitude of 1280 m. After 3.3 km it flows into Divoká Desná.
