ZOO Dvůr Králové

The ZOO in Dvůr Králové was established in the 1940s - it first opened its gates in 1946. During the following years, the small ZOO corner turned into one of the largest ZOOs in the Czech Republic of world importance. The zoo in Dvůr Králové specializes in African fauna. The court manages to return to nature, for example, rhinos and other strictly protected animals. Thanks to its quality breeding of beasts, ungulates, monkeys, reptiles and birds, Dvůr Králové functions as the best genobank for Europe.
