Pilsen Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden in Pilsen is a natural area with an area of ​​21 ha, which boasts an arboretum, water areas, rocks and park landscaping and in the arboretum is represented by the number of almost 1000 species, subspecies and cultivars. It can be found near the center of Pilsen and its park arrangement freely connects to the local ZOO, with which the botanical garden was merged in 1981.

Interesting facts Pilsen Botanical Garden

In the rosary we find several dozen varieties and cultivars of roses, there is also a meadow with bulbs, feathered terraces and a dendrological part, ie an arboretum with shrubs and trees, a succulent greenhouse with reptiles, carnivorous exhibitions, North American desert and let's not forget the landscape model, in which brown coal was formed in the basins of the Ore Mountains during the Tertiary period.

The local gem is undoubtedly a botanical greenhouse with a unique collection of succulents, but also a newly built Asian garden with a variety of plants from the Asian continent, as well as rare and endangered tree species.

- Ethiopian region - it includes almost all of Africa, including the islands of Seychelles, Madagascar or Réunion and the borders of the Arabian Peninsula.

- Palearctic region - this region is the largest biogeographical region of our planet. Includes regions of Europe, Asia and part of Africa.

- Neotropical region - these are the areas of South America up to the Land of Fire and the northern border is Central America, including the Caribbean islands.
