Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows - a place called Hvězda
This church monument lies in the wooded section of the Broumov basin. Her age is almost three hundred years. It was built in 1733 by K. I. Dientzenhoffer and two centuries later it was in danger of being demolished. Fortunately, the abbot of the monastery in Broumov, Jan Rotter, was found, who saved it and had it repaired in the middle of the 19th century so that it could continue to be used.

It is a picturesque Baroque building, which extends into five corners, although it has a circular interior. It is accessible by a bridge with a gallery and provides a wonderful view of the entire Broumov area and Javoří mountain. When you look at the peaks of distant mountains, you do so from a height of 760 meters above sea level. A breathtaking experience!
But it's also nice to climb between sandstone depressions and bulges, bend under stone gates or just enjoy the surroundings. It also hides an animal nook. Not every year, but probably according to the interest of the owner of a small wild boar farm, there are cute pigs to see, squealing in a well-secured paddock.
Finally, it is possible to have lunch, dinner or just eat a little treat. All this in a nearby stall, or a little more expensive in a stylish wooden restaurant. So go to Hvězda and let yourself be carried away by other Broumov gems. And that this area hides them blessedly! Let's name Adršpach, Ostaš or Teplické skály at random.
