Znojmo - Andělský mlýn - Podmolí - Znojmo

Follow the green sign from the former minority monastery in the southwestern part of the city. Your first stop will be the Church of St. The Hippolita and the Monastery of the Crusaders. From this place there is a beautiful view of the whole city and especially of the Znojmo dam on the river Dyje, which is located directly below you. Unpleasant is only the ascent, which is steep, but very short and it is better to complete it on your own with a bike by your side.

From here, take the asphalt road to Mašovická Street, where you will come across a cycle route number 5000. The route will turn through a field and take you into the forest. There, a slight ascent and then a slight descent to the Králův stolec signpost awaits you. This place is suitable for a little rest in the gazebo above the dam overlooking the opposite cliffs and the valley of the river Dyje. Compared to the previous viewpoint, it is significantly less visited, so you will enjoy more peace here. Continue along the same cycle route. Soon a small spring appears on the left side of the road.

From this place you have two options - either you drive along the bike path, which is longer but more comfortable, or you avoid the green markings over more difficult terrain. The green path leads through a valley with a stream, so it is not entirely easy - but it is a bit shorter.

Whether one way or the other, they will both take you to the Angel Mill. It is an old desolate mill on the Mašovický stream. From the mill, follow the yellow sign to Mašovice. At first, this section rises, but it is only a few hundred meters. The next journey continues with a comfortable descent.

In the village of Mašovice you will come almost immediately to the signpost. Turn here and slowly return to the city along the Znojemská cycle route. Just behind the village is a nice and quite large flooded quarry on the left side. The small natural monument Červený rybníček, sought after especially by science enthusiasts, can also be a pleasant lightening of a slightly undulating route. You will find it in the last third of the journey.
The fastest way to get to the center of Znojmo is Mašovická Street and over the already mentioned peak with a monastery. The road overcomes the subsequent descent with a relatively long serpentine.
