Interesting facts Znojmo - Nový Šaldorf- Konice - Popice - Havraníky - Judexův mlýn - Šatov - Back train

Start at the Premonstratensian monastery in the south of Znojmo in an area called Sedlešovice. Continue along the cycle route marked as Moravská vinná directly to the center of Nový Šaldorf and from there take the main road to the village of Konice. After a few meters from the main road you will descend to a less frequented section. It is a really gentle climb to the village. In addition to small sacral monuments, you will be interested in a signpost in the village. From there, turn left following the red markings.

On the way to the next stop - Popice, a short climb awaits you, which will be enriched by a nice view of the vineyards on the right side of the road. After a short pass through the village, a short hill awaits you again, this time you will be rewarded with a chapel with a well again on the right side in the direction of travel. At the imaginary peak, a view of the vineyard below you awaits you. Behind you is the large Havranické heathland and the beginning of the Podyjí National Park.

Follow the Moravian Wine Cycle Route to the village of Havraníky. The Skalky nature park awaits you right behind the last dwelling. It is a seemingly ordinary locality (two areas with small to invisible stonemasons), but very diverse botanically.

On arrival in the village of Šatov, you will cross an imaginary line of defensive fortifications from the Second World War. Many bunkers are reconstructed here and excursions can be arranged. For example, choose the Infantry Fortifications of Šatov at the lower edge of the village. After all, a short nature trail "Beyond history, wine and fortifications" will take you to all the sights in the vicinity. So wine lovers will also enjoy themselves here - there are three wine cellars operated as a wine shop, and several others, private.

Look for the railway station in the southeast of the village, on the cycle route No. 48 or Moravské vinné.
