Interesting facts Zábřeh na Moravě - Hoštejn - Zábřeh na Moravě

You will leave the town of Zábřeh from the Oborník pond along the cycle route No. 6232. The route copies the route of the dormitories. Here, at first glance, you will be interested in the construction of a new massive railway tunnel. It is clearly visible from the road. After embracing the hill it passes through, you will see its other end.

Nature on this entire route is characterized mainly by vast forests and wetlands around the river - Moravská Sázava and steep slopes around the valley you pass. Another stop is the village of Hněvkov, in the vicinity of which we will especially appreciate the beauty of the river and its accessibility along the low banks. On your way you will soon meet a medium-sized Hněvkovský pond - popular with fishermen and swimmers.

Slowly but clearly you are clearly approaching the destination - the village Hoštejn. This place is especially interesting for the special monument to the Builders of the Railway, which towers majestically over the village. From a distance, it looks more like a church tower. In its footsteps, and also in the footsteps of another monument - the former Hoštejn castle, you can go from the signpost in the middle of the village to the red mark. From the monument is a beautiful view of the whole valley. Another dominant feature of the village is the local church of St. Anny, which you have the opportunity to see on the way to the lookout - is on the left side of the red sign.

After a short snack, go the same way back to Zábřeh. Alternatively, you can use the Hoštejn railway station and from there take the train towards Ústí nad Orlicí and Pardubice or back to Zábřeh na Moravě.
