You would find this lookout tower on the Nedánov hill, about 1 km from Boleradice and about 25 km north of Břeclav. It is located at an altitude of 368 meters, built of a combination of wood and steel and was officially opened to tourists on July 12, 2009.

The viewing platform is located at a height of 22 meters above the ground, while the total height of the lookout tower is 26 meters. The tower offers a view of Pálava, the Drahanská Highlands, and if the weather is nice, you will also see the Alps and Vienna.

You can get to the lookout tower very easily if you drive north from the village of Boleradice. The lookout tower is open daily and accessible without restrictions.

This lookout tower belongs to a large number of lookout towers, opened to the public in 2009. It is located on the Nedánov hill near Boleradice in the Břeclav district.


The history of the lookout towers at this place began to be written before the Second World War, when the first military tower, 20 meters high, stood here, which also served as a lookout tower for tourists. However, this building burned down immediately after World War II.


During the last century, Svazarm was particularly interested in the restoration of the lookout tower in Boleradice. In 2000/2001, local residents and tourists also began to strive for the construction of the lookout tower. In 2004, the local organization Techsport also showed interest. The management of the town hall was then attracted by the new lookout towers in Toulovce Maštaly in the Pardubice region, after which the architect Antonín Olšina from Vysoké Mýto was called in to design the construction of the new lookout tower. He designed a wooden lookout tower with steel elements. The building had the shape of an hourglass.


In 2006, the municipality of Boleradice bought state land on the Nedánov hill, and as part of the Boleradice Wandering tourist event on May 21, 2006, the foundation stone for the construction of a lookout tower was laid.


The foundations of the lookout tower were built a year later by the company Ing. Saddlery. However, due to lack of funds, the construction was postponed until 2009.


The construction was carried out by Mikulica s.r.o. At that time, the total costs climbed to approximately 3 million crowns. The grand opening took place on July 12, 2009.


In the area of ​​the lookout tower, there are facilities available to tourists in the form of benches, tables, shelters, rest areas and bicycle storage.
