Luby lookout tower

Approximately 1 km from the village of Luby to the west and about 25 km from Cheb to the north there is a wooden lookout tower "U Strejců". It is located at an altitude of 632 meters and was officially opened on August 14, 2005.

Its total height is 22.3 meters and the viewing platform is located at a height of 19 meters. From the tower there is a nice view of Tříslová and Vysoký Kámen, Zlatý vrch, Liščí hora and Slavkovský les.

The lookout tower can be reached on foot or by bike along the Lubsko Nature Trail. If you are riding a motorcycle, you must continue along the road leading to Horní Luby. The path to the golf course and the lookout tower is very well marked. If you drive, you can park at the golf course, located under the lookout tower.

The lookout tower is freely accessible and open without restrictions.

The town of Luby is located in the border area in western Bohemia. The town, whose former name was Schönbach, is famous mainly for the production of musical instruments. A golf course was built here in 1994, and a year later the local lookout tower was built.

The wooden lookout tower "U Strejců" is 22 meters high in total. The project was developed by Ing. Čegan and the construction was carried out by the Kapic construction company in Cheb. stands almost close to the golf course, near the ridge called Nad Dvorem.

The grand opening of the lookout tower took place on August 14, 2005.
