Interesting facts Lookout tower on Císařský kamen

The wooden lookout tower is located at an altitude of 637 meters, on the Císařský kámen hill, about 1 km from the settlement of Milíře and approximately 8 km from Jablonec nad Nisou in the west direction.

The lookout tower with a total height of 20 meters has an observation platform located at a height of 18.8 meters. A total of 97 steps lead to it and there is a view of Liberec, Jablonec nad Nisou, the Ještěd ridge, the southern part of the Jizera Mountains, the western part of the Giant Mountains, Bohemian Paradise and more. Panoramic signs directly on the gallery of the lookout tower will help you with orientation.

You can get to the lookout tower by car through the settlement of Milíře, after which turn right onto a narrower asphalt road and continue along the road between the houses, then along the forest road to the lookout tower. The path is marked with arrows. Hikers can use the green marked hiking trail.

The lookout tower is open all year round, every day without restrictions.

The lookout tower on the Císařský kámen hill has been standing since 2009. It was built on the initiative of the village of Rádlo. The original plan was to build a lookout tower before the start of the World Championships in classic skiing in Liberec, which then fell on February 18, 2009. Unfortunately, this plan failed mainly due to lack of funds. The completion of the lookout tower was postponed until the end of June 2009.

The construction of the lookout tower is wooden, complemented by steel elements. The grand opening took place on September 19, 2009.
