Vrátenská mountain lookout tower
Vrátenská Mountain is the highest peak of the Kokořín region and a lookout tower with an impressive view of the surroundings has stood directly on its hill since 1999. The lookout tower itself does not look picturesque or magnificent. It is a building with a ten-meter antenna tower, which is clearly lined with transmitters. Its brown color can be seen from a distance and the overall look is not really attractive. The reason why you can visit the Vrátenská hora lookout tower is definitely the beautiful view, which will reward you after climbing 125 steps.

Impressive view
After ascending to the viewing platform, located at a height of 24 meters, you will have a beautiful circular view. For each direction, there is a detailed map on the lookout tower, from which you will be able to identify all significant points in the area. The dominant feature of the landscape that will stretch in front of you is definitely Malý and Velký Bezděz and Říp. You can also see the power plant in Mělník and if the weather is nice, then also Luční hora. To the south you can recognize the panorama of Prague and to the west stretches the Czech Central Highlands.
How to get here?
To choose the easiest route, drive to Libovice, where at the end of the village (if you are going to Nosálov), turn left at the last crossroads. You will see a sign pointing towards the lookout tower. However, the road to it is relatively damaged and will take you to the parking lot, from which the road to the lookout tower is still about 0.5 kilometers long.
It is open daily except Mondays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a symbolic entrance fee applies.
