The building also serves as a mobile operator transmitter and is located on Sokolí vrch, about 2 km from the village of Dobrná and about 5 km east of Děčín. The lookout tower was first opened to the public in 2004.

The tower is located at an altitude of 506 meters and its total height is 51 meters. The observation platform is located at a height of 31.1 meters and leads to it a total of 162 steps. From the top of the tower you will have a beautiful circular view of the entire Bohemian Central Mountains, the Ore Mountains, Děčín, Ještěd, the Elbe Sandstones and more.

You will certainly find the lookout tower quite easy. From Děčín, go east to Česká Kamenice and about 3 km after Děčín, turn right into the settlement of Folknáře. Continue uphill along the narrow asphalt road, the path will take you almost to the lookout tower. The road is well marked from Dobrná and for pedestrians there is a possibility to use the green marked hiking trail.

From May to October, the lookout tower is open daily except Mondays from 10 am to 5 pm.

The Sokolí vrch lookout tower is one of those built by telecommunications companies in order to improve the signal quality in the area. The construction of the lookout tower / transmitter began in the second half of 2003. Thanks to a condition imposed on telecommunications companies by the local municipal authority, the tower also serves as a lookout tower. The owner and operator of the construction is T-Mobile.


The lookout tower consists of a steel structure with a central spindle, around which a staircase spirals. At a height of 31.1 meters there is a covered observation deck.
