Lookout tower on Královec
Would you like Valašské Klobouky to be seen directly from a bird's eye view? This experience will be made possible by the lookout tower on Královec hill, located at an altitude of 655 meters, about 1.5 km east of Valašské Klobouky and about 40 km southeast of Zlín.

Interesting facts Lookout tower on Královec
The lookout tower has a wooden structure and was first opened to the public in 2006. It is 21.5 meters high and has a viewing platform, to which a total of 79 steps lead, is located at a height of 18 meters. From the top of the tower there is a beautiful view of Valašské Klobouky, Vizovické vrchy, Valašsko, Bílé Karpaty and Javorníky.
You can go to the lookout tower directly from the center of Valašské Klobouky, following the red tourist sign. It is about 1.5 km away. The Královec nature trail also leads here.
By car you can get to the recreation center Královec. From here, a red tourist sign leads along a path about half a kilometer long to the lookout tower.
The lookout tower is open daily and all year round without restrictions.
The current unique wooden lookout tower is not the first building standing on the Královec hill. Previously, a tourist cottage with a triangulation tower has been located here since the 1920s. It is not known exactly when both buildings disappeared, but probably sometime after World War II.
The initiator of the construction of the new lookout tower was Mr. Otakar Rosulek, executive of the Valašské Klobouky Municipal Forests, s.r.o. The local town hall also contributed to the construction, which provided building materials, larch wood from the local forests. Antonín Závada became the author of the project. The construction of the lookout tower took almost four months.
The lookout tower was consecrated by the local priest Karel Janiček on October 7, 2006. The panoramic plates, which were placed on the highest gallery of the lookout tower, will help you with orientation. In addition to the name Na Královci, you can also find the name Na Finiši lookout tower or Cyril Bureš lookout tower. The second name originated from a local composer and musician.
