Military Museum Králíky

The Králíky Military Museum forms a central building in the Králická fortress area and is currently the most modern museum of this type in the entire Czech Republic. It is situated on the northern edge of the town of Králíky, near the road from Králík to Prostřední Lipka, and is open all year round every day except Monday. The museum's military-historical exposition focuses on the army, state defense and Czechoslovak fortifications. Between 2009 and 2010, the museum was modernized and rebuilt.

The total area of ​​the exhibition hall is 2,400 m2 and visitors can see a cross-section of the history of the Czech and Czechoslovak army, its enemies and allies in 1938, the exhibition focuses on World War II, occupation and resistance, . Large exhibits are displayed under an outdoor shelter with an area of ​​700 m2.

The exhibition includes, for example, heavy military and combat equipment, demonstrations of ammunition, various materials related to personalities, means of protection against combat poisons and weapons of mass destruction, equipment and armaments.

The Králíky Military Museum is a link with other museums operated in fortress buildings, but it is also a kind of information center for the Czechoslovak fortifications from 1935-38.
