Interesting facts Stork - Teplice rocks

In the area of the sandstone plateau in Teplice Rocks, the peak of Čáp visibly protrudes near their southwestern region, near the settlement of Skály and the rock castle, from where there is a nice view and route of Čáp. In the settlement of Skály we can also find a renovated Baroque chateau called Bischofstein, built on the site of a former fortress, and which now houses a hotel and restaurant.

The route to Čáp from the settlement of Skály is very relaxed and leads around picturesque timbered houses, through meadows and along holiday cottages. The steeper path towards the top leads from the crossroads Pod Čapím vrchem and especially through the forest around a small rock gate. In front of the peak there are steep rocks and picturesque cliffs, lining the Stork, from where the view is shielded just to the north and east side, due to the trees.

In the vicinity of the Čáp peak, the Skály rock castle and the Lenka lookout tower, which is basically a private hunting facility, in which the public is banned from entering, but the building is open and probably visited by many tourists, are definitely worth a visit.
