Interesting facts Collectors Prague

What exactly are collectors? These are continuous line structures, the purpose of which is to guide and store engineering networks, both pipeline and cable. All utilities must be accessible for possible repairs, as well as routine inspections and maintenance, so that some minor faults can be made directly in the collector, without having to disturb the road in any way. The collectors ensure the smooth running of the entire city and store most of the engineering networks performing this function.

What can you see here?

During the tour, visitors will learn about the entire technology of construction of collectors and how to store utilities. There is also a central control room for inspection, using one of the largest and most modern monitoring in the world. Along the route, you can also see holes with utilities, which lead directly from the collector to the basements of houses, walking underground in the historic center of Prague, at a depth of 40 m below the ground.
