Written sources first mention the mill in 1515. The mill then had three wheels, two of which powered the grinding equipment and the third saw. Beginning in 1696, the mill was owned by the Pohlové family, whose property it was until 1910. In 1727 it was rebuilt in the Baroque style and then underwent further reconstructions in 1819 and 1845.

The mill was abandoned in 1945 and has been deserted ever since, with only remnants and torsos of the perimeter walls.

The legend of Dolský mlýn

A tragedy allegedly took place here in the 16th century. The miller's son then went out into the world to experience and after years returned home with a large fortune. On the way, he stopped at a pub, where he boldly boasted of his fortune.

After years when his son was not home, he changed. He grew a beard and wanted to surprise his parents. He therefore stayed in the mill as a traveler and the miller and the miller did not really know him. However, his property attracted them so much that on the night of his son - a traveler they were killed, robbed and buried in the forest.

In the morning, a farmer visited the mill and asked about the miller's son. It all happened, and neither he nor his wife could bear the feeling that they had murdered their own son. The same day, his wife jumped into the drive and he hung himself.

Since then, it is said that the souls of the murdered son have been wandering around the mill and waiting for liberation.
