Interesting facts Educational trail through Hájecký footpaths

Where does the trail lead?

The trail takes tourists around the remains of a heavy fortress fortification and almost the entire route leads through the forest. The difficulty could be described as medium, with a relatively steep descent, a slight ascent and ruggedness. The trail is not suitable for a stroller at all. It is about 9 km long and it will take you about 4-5 hours to pass, depending of course on walking speed and stops. The route is not so busy.

The beginning of the route is in front of the railway station in the village of Háj in Silesia and the path then leads along a green and yellow marked trail to the crossroads below Padařov. Next, prepare for a trip through the forest and a slight climb to the hill Padařov.

The trail is interwoven with a total of six stops and several fortifications. It is open all year round.

Smolkov Fortress

On the hill Padařov near the village Smolkov we find the remains of a heavy fortress fortification. The fortress itself consists of five buildings: an artillery cabin, an artillery tower, an infantry cabin, an artillery observatory and an entrance building.
